Thought for Facebook March 22nd:

Jesus healing the blind person changes that person’s life in dramatic ways but it also indicates that Jesus is opening the eyes of people everywhere as we recognize that God is not angry with us and waiting for us to come around so God can love us again but God is working with us to deliver us from whatever feelings or past histories which keep us in bondage to shame, guilt, and inability to live life. The blind person claims that God hears the prayers of the righteous but not sinners (verse 31) and while it might be nice knowing that God listens to some people’s prayers more than others, but do we really want to believe that?
